Placeholder for Raven scanners, Starfish Technologies, LLC

Anti-consumer practices[edit | edit source]

The company produced quality Toshiba HW scanners, that used an Amazon cloud service to store and fax, email, or copy to other location, that allowed for huge paper and toner saves for businesses still using fax, like Healthcare. The company then went under, likely due to cost and/or change in Amazon cloud service. They notify customers in Summer 2023 at screen login that the cloud service will stop at end of 2023. During 2023 support becomes unresponsive. This change causes the fax to become non-functional, as it was dependent on the cloud services.

They were still sold by Amazon in early 2024, but have seemingly since then stopped.
