Latest comment: 27 February by Kostas in topic are microtransactions related to the wiki?

are microtransactions related to the wiki?

microtransactions are lame, but do they rise to the level of inclusion in the wiki? Louis (talk) 00:04, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

TBH I only see MTX being wiki-worthy if it reaches a state of overload (ex, Farmville, my singing monsters, etc.) JamesTDG (talk) 00:09, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
After rereading the wiki's mission statement Mission statement#Consumer protection has changed, I think you're right. I've added some additional context which may potentially be in scope with *significantly altering the project after the sale* though this too requires a judgement call? @Jeighk in general the process of article creation in the wiki is meant to start form the documentation of an incident. In this case as the page was started as a product page I think its fine to include the microtransaction section as it is a change that is relevant for consumers who bought this game.
A source and expansion on the second bullet would also help paint a clearer picture. Since this game has online features tha connection to the server would be expected for those however, if this afferct online play then it warrants further expansion.
PS: When using talk pages throught the source editor signing your post is done via <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. I have confirmed your account so you should be able to use the visual editor for them now (and not have to go through captchas) but I am mentioning it because I edited the page to add your signature manually. needs citation for some features requiring connection to their servers

i believe this since it is true for most modern games but needs more than belief! needs citations Louis (talk) 00:04, 27 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
