Incident

On December 31, 2024 Magic Leap released an article detailing the end of life of their product, the Magic Leap 1. In this article, they explain that the device will no longer be supported. As the article states, the device core functionality including the device and its apps as well as cloud services are no longer available. This means that the device is now unfortunately no longer usable by any end user who has purchased it. In the article, they encourage users to purchase a Magic Leap 2 to continue to use their services and applications.[3]
