Talk:Newegg

Recently I had an issue with Newegg about deleting an account and was wondering if others may have had similar experiences. I am new to using wiki's so sorry if I screw something up here. Due to the guidelines, I don't feel confident about making a new page, but I thought I would at least start the conversation.

I will show some screenshots about a chat I had with customer support. It should show how they refused to delete my account and only chose to "deactivate" it, which I feel is a disservice to anyone using them. It should be the right of any user to delete any and all data associated with that user if they so choose. At the time, I thought there were laws associated with that right, so my responses are with that assumption. It's still unclear if there are laws for that, or it was a figment of my imagination.

So ultimately if this is a site wide policy to deny the deletion of one's account, I felt this should be talked about. If this is not how you're supposed to use a wiki, definitely let me know. I will learn accordingly and try to do better next time.
