Have marked this as irrelevant, because unfortunately this is a topic which seems too wide-ranging and vague for the wiki, as well as exceptionally prone to brigading by those wishing to promote their own products. There are too many good products in the world to list them all in one page. The Q&A in the Mission statement describes the only scenario in which we imagine products being mentioned as 'alternatives'
Depending on further discussion, it will probably be deleted.
