In early 2025, ŠKODA Auto Automaker (Part of German VW group) announced the discontinuation of the Move&Fun mobile app, which was critical for ŠKODA Citigo eiV owners. The removal of the app has led to several usability issues, including the inability to manage charging settings and monitor vehicle status, raising concerns among customers.

The Move&Fun app, launched alongside the ŠKODA Citigo e iV, allowed owners to manage essential vehicle functions, such as charging control, real-time monitoring of battery status, and integrated navigation. The app used Bluetooth, providing a free, convenient solution for vehicle management, but was discontinued in early 2025 for unspecified technical and security reasons.

==Incident==

The discontinuation of the Move&Fun app has resulted in the removal of critical features that were integral to the driving and ownership experience. The inability to control charging currents and monitor vehicle status has led to widespread dissatisfaction among ŠKODA Citigo e iV owners. The company offered an alternative through the MyŠKODA app, but it requires a paid subscription and an internet connection, contrasting with the original Bluetooth-based, free solution.

ŠKODA Auto stated that the Move&Fun app was discontinued due to "technical and security reasons" and encouraged users to transition to the MyŠKODA app. However, they did not offer a clear timeline or commitment on when the missing functionalities would be restored in the new app.

==Warranty Claims / Lawsuit==

Several affected consumers have initiated warranty claims, arguing that the removal of essential features undermines the vehicle's value and intended functionality.

Consumers are claiming that ŠKODA's removal of the Move&Fun app without offering a suitable replacement constitutes planned obsolescence. Additionally, they argue that the company should honor warranties for the loss of core vehicle features.

Outcome of these claims is currently pending, with no clear resolution as of now 02/2025.

Consumers are voicing frustration online and through customer support channels, arguing that ŠKODA has removed essential functions without offering adequate alternatives. Many are concerned about the forced transition to a paid, subscription-based model that requires an internet connection, which adds a hidden cost. Some users are organizing collective action to raise awareness and seek compensation for the loss of vehicle functionalities.
