Newag S.A. (pronounced "nevag") is a Polish company, based in Nowy Sącz, specializing in the production, maintenance, and modernization of railway rolling stock.[1]
Backdoor Incident
In 2022 maintenance was done on trains manufactured by Newag which uncovered malicious software code and backdoors.[2] The investigation against Newag is still on-going.
