Chamberlain Group LLC is an intelligent garage door opener company founded in 1906 (note: their website is unclear what they originally did as the "Peerless Cream Separator Co" founded by Andrew M. Chamberlain in 1906), boasting a 50M+ homes with their products installed, and also offers commercial garage door opener systems.

Incidents

  • 2023 Disabled access to to the myQ ecosystem to "prevent unauthorized usage." Removal of API access to the myQ ecosystem removes features that were previously available to users having purchased systems like the Chamberlain MYQ-G0401 Wireless Smart Garage Hub. [1]
  • 2023: Discontinues support for "myQ Home Bridge" kit, bricking a $70-90 device, no refunds offered. [2]
