Chamberlain Group LLC is an intelligent garage door opener company founded in 1906 (note: their website is unclear what they originally did as the "Peerless Cream Separator Co" founded by Andrew M. Chamberlain in 1906), boasting a 50M+ homes with their products installed, and also offers commercial garage door opener systems.

Incidents

  • 2023 Disabled access to to the myQ ecosystem to "prevent unauthorized usage": Removal of API access to the myQ ecosystem removes features that were previously available to users having purchased systems like the Chamberlain MYQ-G0401 Wireless Smart Garage Hub. [1]
  • 2023: Discontinues support for "myQ Home Bridge" kit, bricking a $70-90 device, no refunds offered. [2]
